Description: SCVS is excited to have Art Club for our students this year! In the Art Club, we will explore different art techniques and media to create wonderful works of art. Additionally, we will take the time to learn about artists and the diverse range of work they have created.

Book It! Reading Club (Grades K-6)

Description: The SCVS Book It! School Club encourages a love of reading by motivating K–6 students to set monthly reading goals and celebrate their progress. Through fun incentives like free personal pan pizzas from Pizza Hut, students build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and develop lifelong reading habits.

Description:
SCVS is thrilled to announce the launch of our very own LEGO League Challenge Robotics Team! This exciting opportunity is open to students ages 9 to 14 as of January 1, 2026. The team will participate in the FIRST LEGO League Challenge, an internationally recognized STEM program that combines hands-on robotics, engineering, and real-world innovation.
Participants will collaborate to design, build, and code LEGO robots that complete themed missions on an official game board. They will also work together to develop creative solutions to real-world challenges presented each season. It’s a fantastic way for students to build critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills—all while having fun.

STEM Club (Grades K-7)

Description: This year in STEM Club, students will engage in exciting hands-on projects that build problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork skills. This will be for grades K-7 from 10 am to 11 am on the Fridays listed below. We’ll kick off in August with team-building and tower challenges using gumdrops, then dive into monthly themed activities like building bridges for LEGO cars, designing egg drop containers, and exploring electricity through static experiments and simple circuits. In December, students will discover the science of sound through interactive stations and even build their own instruments. The new year brings coding fun with binary bracelets and robot basics in January, followed by robot mazes and coding challenges in February and March. We'll wrap up the year in April with a variety of fun STEM stations to celebrate all they’ve learned. It’s a year full of discovery, innovation, and creativity!
